THE HEAT is a US comedy about two mismatched law enforcers, an uptight FBI agent and a laid-back street cop, who are forced to team up to bring down a Boston drug boss. This extended version is rated 15 for strong language, one use of very strong language, violence and sex references.

Strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf***er') is used frequently throughout the film. This extended version also contains a use of very strong language ('c**t'). There are also a number of strong verbal sex references, such as a woman telling her boyfriend, "I'm gonna get you a dick-sucker for Christmas so I don't have to do it no more".

Although the film is a comedy, some of the violence is strong and bloody, including blood spurts when people are shot in gun battles. There is also a bloody but comic scene where an emergency tracheotomy is performed by a character trying to recall what to do from TV. There is no focus on pain and the patient is seen to be alright when paramedics arrive and take over.

While much of the plot is about drug dealing, there is no drug use apart from a man smoking a joint, then being chased and arrested.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
