THE GUARDIANS is a French drama, set during the First World War, in which a woman hires a young orphan to help out on her family's farm.

Violence

There is one scene of strong violence in which several soldiers are gunned down, with bullet impacts resulting in spurts of blood. One man is repeatedly stabbed, although this occurs below frame.

There is a moderate sex scene in which a man is seen moving on top of a woman as both characters breathe heavily.

Moderate bad language includes uses of 'whore'. There is also milder bad language, including 'slut'.
