GIRLHOOD is a French film about a teenage girl who meets three other girls and joins their gang.

Language

There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), which is occasionally aggressively directed.

Violence

There are scenes in which teenage girls fight, and which include repeated punches and kicks to the head and body. At the end of one of the scenes, a defeated girl's bra is cut off with a knife, but there is no nudity detail.

Drugs

In one scene, teenage girls smoke a marijuana joint and hashish from a pipe.

There are also scenes of threat, including a teenage girl being slapped by an older man after she rejects his sexual advances. The film also contains a scene in which a teenage girl briefly exposes her boyfriend's buttocks.
