THE GARDEN is a 1990 British arthouse film which features themes of homosexuality and Christianity.

Violence

Scenes of discriminatory violence include one in which a group of men whoop and laugh while tarring and feathering a gay couple. The victims are later whipped with sticks, resulting in sight of blood soaking the backs of their shirts.

Suicide

There is brief sight of the aftermath of a suicide.

Sex

A man wearing leathers is shown crawling along the ground, with rear nudity. He is then seen holding a dildo.

Language

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k').

Other issues include occasional non-sexualised male genital nudity and infrequent female breast nudity.
