FIVE FEET APART is a US romantic drama in which two teens fall in love while receiving treatment in hospital.

Sex

There are references to foreplay, sex, and condoms. In one sequence, two teenagers undress to their underwear in front of one another.

Theme

The central characters have forms of cystic fibrosis and are at high risk of infection. The death of a character and near death of another are potentially upsetting and distressing sequences. There is also a visually discreet scene in which a person receives a lung transplant.

Language

Infrequent strong language ('f**k') occurs, along with moderate and mild bad language including 'bitch', 'ho', 'bullshit' and 'asshole'.
