ELEMENTARY is a French drama in which a dedicated primary school teacher finds her ideals tested by the arrival of a challenging boy in her class.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'). Other bad language includes 'bitch', 'dick', 'shit', 'crap', 'piss', 'son-of-a-bitch', 'ass' and 'damn'. There is also some use of discriminatory language when a teacher reads out phrases written on a folded paper fortune teller, written by her students. One phrase reads 'dirty queer'. The teacher immediately challenges the students and punishes them for the comments.

Other issues include some mild violence as children have playground fights. One boy's head is accidentally banged against a doorframe and he's left with a small cut on his eyebrow. There are some mild sex references including a child responding to the teacher saying the 'verb is trans ...' by muttering 'sexual'. A man comments that a woman 'bangs' any man she finds. A man asks if he wants to see a film with Megan Fox, 'the brunette with the big boobs'. There are some scenes of bullying as children pick on one boy by repeatedly saying he 'stinks' and calling him a 'bum'.
