Note: The following text may contain spoilers

A DOZEN SUMMERS is a comedy drama that follows the lives and daydreams of two twelve-year-old twin sisters.

Language

Mild bad language includes uses of 'bloody' and 'slut', as well as a spelt out use of 'b.i.t.c.h.' One character uses the term 'lesbian' as a mild form of abuse. As well as having the meaning of the word explained to her, it is also pointed out that there is nothing wrong with being gay.

Other issues include an innocuous drug reference and a tongue-in-cheek sequence in which the two lead characters accuse the narrator of inappropriately filming children.
