THE DEMINER is a documentary in which a Kurdish colonel risks his life disarming bombs to make his country safe again.

Disturbing images

Distressing scenes include footage of real explosions which result in human casualty. After an explosion, a man can be seen with bloody injury to his leg, which has been blown off. There is also further injury detail of a wire being pulled out of a man's shoulder.

Threat

There is strong threat throughout as the documentary follows a man diffusing bombs. In one scene, a mobile phone rings and it is explained that if there is a second ring, there will be an explosion. Shortly after, a mobile sounds a second time and three men try to flee. We learn that two of the three men involved died in the blast.
