COCKTAIL is a Hindi language romantic comedy drama about a love triangle between three very different friends in contemporary London. The film was classified '12' for moderate language.

The film contains three uses of moderate bad language ('bitch'), including an aggressive use from one woman to another. After a waitress complains about a woman wanting to use a restaurant bathroom, the woman calls the waitress a "stupid bitch". The tone is slightly aggressive and mean-spirited, largely due to the character being drunk. The same woman uses the word twice more later in the film, but neither of those uses are particularly aggressive. The BBFC's Guidelines at 'PG' allow for 'Mild bad language only'. The language is therefore more appropriately classified at '12' where the Guidelines state 'Moderate language is allowed'.

The film also features sight of characters involved in binge drinking and the implication that some of them are involved in casual sexual relationships. The portrayal of these types of lifestyle might confound some parental expectations at 'PG'. The film also contains some mild bad language (eg 'shit', 'bloody', 'crap') and a mild accident scene, establishing that a character has been in a car accident.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
