CALIFORNIA SPLIT is a 1974 US comedy drama in which two different gamblers are united by their compulsion for gaming.

Language

There is use of strong language ('motherf**ker', 'f**k'), as well as milder terms including ‘shit’, ‘God’, ‘damn’, ‘Jesus’, ‘asshole’, ‘piss’, ‘ass’, ‘crap’, ‘son-of-a-bitch’ and ‘hell’. There is also infrequent use of discriminatory language (‘faggot’).

Moderate sex references include scenes which imply that two women are prostitutes. There are also scenes of moderate violence and threat, including a scene in which a man is punched in the face, resulting in a nosebleed.
