BEAUTIFUL STRANGER is a black-and-white film noir, from 1954, in which an actress falls for a potter after realising her wealthy lover has been deceiving her.

Violence

A man slaps a woman, then grabs her by the arms and holds her fast while she struggles to get away. He pushes her against a wall and threatens her. There are occasional shootings and fist fights, without blood or injury detail. We also see a man dragging a dead body in an attempt to dispose of it, but there is no graphic visual detail.

Threat

A woman loses control of her car and nearly drives off a cliff, but she is not hurt.

Other issues include infrequent and discreet references to adultery and occasional scenes of smoking.
