BATTLESHIP is a sci-fi action film in which Earth is invaded by hostile alien forces. A renegade navy lieutenant must lead a few destroyers into battle to save the planet from destruction.

Violence

There are frequent scenes of moderate violence, including a scene in which sailors are blasted through the air. There are some brief shots of bloody cuts and bruises on the arms and faces of the wounded. In another scene, a US soldier fights an alien soldier, with several heavy blows.

Threat

There are several scenes of sustained threat which show sailors come under attack from aliens and spinning chainsaw-like weapons.

Language

There are several uses of implied strong language, such as a curtailed 'motherf'. Milder terms include uses of 'damn', 'shit', 'God', 'ass', 'boob', 'heck', 'bullshit', 'hell', 'bastards' and 'frigging'.
