THE BALLYMURPHY PRECEDENT is a documentary about the deaths of eleven civilians during an incident in Northern Ireland 1971.

Language

There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t'), as well as milder terms such as 'bastard', 'shit' and 'crap'.

There are several sequences in which shootings are reconstructed with actors, based on the accounts of witnesses, accompanied by detailed verbal descriptions of the injuries sustained. There is also some archive footage of people injured during clashes, with brief sight of bloodied bodies covered by sheets.
