AMERICAN ULTRA is a US action comedy in which a small-town stoner discovers he is actually a deadly government assassin.

Violence

Frequent scenes of strong bloody violence include shootings, stabbings, hand-to-hand combat and the use of various improvised weapons, including fireworks, dustpans, tins, kitchen knives, screwdrivers and hammers.

Language

Strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') occurs throughout. There is infrequent use of racist language ('nigger') between a group of friends, where the term is not intended as an insult.

Drugs

Occasional scenes of drug use include scenes of marijuana smoking, including the use of a 'bong', sight of an LSD 'tablet' on a tongue during a dream sequence, and brief moment in which it is implied a character has snorted cocaine.

Sex

There are infrequent strong sex references, including to orgasms and oral sex, as well as some stylised images painted onto a wall depicting female breast and buttock nudity.
