ALMOST HEAVEN is a documentary about a young woman in China training to be a mortician.

Theme

Scenes depict recently deceased people being collected from hospital, transported to the mortuary, washed and prepared for burial or cremation. Faces, arms and legs are shown, but no graphic bodily detail or sign of injuries. Some sequences depict relatives of the deceased crying and grieving over the bodies.
