AKIRA is a Hindi language thriller about a student who has to fight to prove her innocence after being falsely accused of a crime by corrupt police officers.

Violence

Strong violence includes a meat cleaver being embedded in a man's thigh, and another character being slashed across the stomach with the same weapon. The film also includes some martial arts fight sequences. In one scene acid is tossed into the face of young woman; she is later seen with disfiguring facial burns.

Other issues include infrequent mild sex references, mild bad language including uses of 'bloody', a hanging scene, and a scene of marijuana joint smoking.
