violence
People are savaged by monsters or stabbed with blades and other sharp objects, resulting in strong bloody detail. A supernatural being cuts a man’s achilles tendon with a razor blade. A darkly comic sequence shows a killer cutting off a victim’s finger with a shovel before beating them to death; the process detail is visually discreet, but there are bloody aftermath images of the severed finger.
threat and horror
There are scenes of strong threat and horror, including ‘jump scare’ moments, as frightened people are attacked and killed by monsters, zombies or serial killers.
sex
During a scene in which a man watches pornography we see a brief image of a woman riding a man, with breast nudity and thrusting detail. Other scenes feature moderate crude sex references.
discrimination
Flashback scenes tell a story in which a man shackles a group of disabled children into a school bus and drives them into a lake at the behest of their parents, who consider them to be a ‘burden’. The children later rise again as zombies to take revenge. There is also infrequent use of the discriminatory term ‘retard’ by an unsympathetic character.
injury detail
Strong gory images include severed heads and limbs, bloodied and mutilated corpses, and a gruesome close-up image of bone protruding from a broken leg. A poisoned child vomits a fountain of blood and chocolate.
nudity
There is brief close-up breast nudity during a sequence in which a group of women perform a ‘striptease’ which ends in them transforming into werewolves.
additional issues
There is infrequent use of strong language (‘f**k’); milder terms include ‘whore’, ‘tits’, ‘ass’, ‘asshole’, ‘shit’ and ‘screw’, in addition to use of the ‘middle finger’ gesture. We are shown close-ups of a woman’s cleavage during a sequence in which a child spies on her as she dresses in a changing room. There is a scene of bullying in which a group of children play a terrifying prank on another girl.
