In an early scene a woman gives birth to an infant that appears to be stillborn, but is miraculously revived by a plume of cigarette smoke. There are scenes of cigarette smoking throughout, including an attempt to break the world record for the number of cigarettes smoked simultaneously by one person. There's also a passing verbal reference to marijuana as two men explain that they don't use the drug.
