THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER is a fantasy action drama in which a swordsman is hired to aide a princess in overthrowing an evil tyrant.

THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER is a fantasy action drama in which a swordsman is hired to aide a princess in overthrowing an evil tyrant.

violence
During a fight, a man’s head is sliced through with a sword, resulting in a large amount of blood being spilled. A man pushes an enemy’s head towards a spinning grindstone, causing blood to spurt as impact is made. Bloodshed results from swordplay across the film, and a man is briefly tortured off-screen with a hot poker.
threat and horror
There are occasional scenes of supernatural horror, including when a figure uses magic abilities to pull a woman's heart from her chest, and another sequence in which a fantastical being gorily sheds their human disguise, blood erupting from wounds as flesh is torn away from the body. People's lives are threatened with bladed weapons.
sexual violence and sexual threat
A woman is held by a group of men and sexually threatened, though the attackers are interrupted before anything further occurs. Later, there is a scene of sexual coercion, and a woman is told she will be forced into marriage.
injury detail
A person is seen covered in blood, his hands nailed to a crucifix. Another man has bloody wounds all over his back after being tortured. Dead bodies are seen following battle sequences, with sight of blood and severed limbs.
nudity
A woman's buttocks are seen as she is given a massage. There is also visible breast nudity, including during a scene which takes place inside a brothel.
References to sex include visual allusions to sex work. Moderate bad language (‘bitch’, ‘slut’) is used, and there is also the use of milder terms such as 'bastard', ‘damn’ and ‘hell’. Occasional comic comments allude to genitalia. There is infrequent racist behaviour, which is explicitly condemned.
