Scenes of horror include evil demons possessing characters, distorting their appearance and altering their behaviour. Dark spirits are seen entering and exiting bodies. Characters are restrained in order to exorcise demons from them. In one scene, a man opens his mouth to reveal a small demon attached to his tongue. There are frequent sequences of threat as the demonic entities come to life and attack humans.

There is use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker') as well as milder terms such as 'bitch', 'shit', 'arsehole', 'crap', 'hell', 'Jesus' and 'Christ'.
suicide and self-harm
It is quickly established that a woman, suffering with depression and possessed by a demon, has attempted suicide and there is sight of a blood filled bath as well as bloody bandages on her wrists. It is said later that this was not her first suicide attempt.
