The Go-between

Contains mild sex and sex references

sex
There is a brief sex scene which contains no nudity, and very brief sight of a man moving on top of a woman as one of her legs is held aloft. There are also some references to "spooning", which is the term used by a child who knows no other word for sex.
additional issues
The film also contains a scene in which a rabbit is shot with a gun. The scene occurs within a natural 'country life' context, is brief and shows no detail other than the rabbit falling as it is hit by the bullet. There is no sight of blood or injuries. There is no evidence that the animal suffered unduly and what is seen appears to be a quick clean kill. Therefore the scene was not considered to be in breach of the Cinematograph Films (Animals) Act 1937. In some scenes people smoke cigars, which reflects the time period in which the film is set. There is also some mild bad language (for example, "hell", "damn", "jeeze").
