violence
The ghost and a character representing Death, which turns into a monster, fight with swords and stab each other in undetailed fashion. There are also moments of very mild slapstick violence.
threat and horror
A ghostly figure frightens human characters by making objects move, talking in a scary voice and invisibly flinging people about, although they come to no serious harm, which is also the case when the ghost sets a house ablaze and people are trapped inside. These scenes of mild threat are occasionally prolonged, but also with comic elements and reassuring outcomes, and the ghost is soon revealed to be a sad character who is befriended by the people it tries and fails to scare. A young girl falls into a lake and appears to be drowning, but rescue is soon at hand.
rude humour
Mild rude humour includes a reference to "She nearly peed her pants" and wordplay on the name 'Balsakhov'. There are also very mild fart jokes.
There is very mild bad language ('butt', 'damn', 'darn'). There are references to death and bereavement, but the subject is handled with sensitivity and comforting good humour.
