Characters are sometimes caught in precarious situations, such as in a meteor shower, dangling from a tree, or trapped under falling debris; however, scenes of threat are brief and often broken up by comic asides. Humans and dogs get zapped by electromagnetic technology, but do not come to serious harm. A brief montage of clips from black and white sci-fi films shows spaceships getting fired at, people fleeing, and an apparent alien autopsy, but none of these scenes contain strong visual detail.
