In the first part of the film, the woman and her son are confined to the room in which they are being held captive, with their captor sometimes entering to rape the woman, although this is not explicitly shown. These scenes, set in the room, are intensely claustrophobic and distressing and feature threats from the captor about what what he will do if the woman attempts to escape, as well as moments of violent threat, including choking.
