There are scenes of domestic abuse by men against women; in one scene a drug-addicted man beats his wife demanding money to buy drugs. In a separate sequence a man puts a gun to a family member's head because the woman will not marry the person chosen for her. There are other moments of violence including slaps and gun threats.
