There is frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’, ‘motherf**ker’). Milder terms include ‘pussy’, ‘bitch’, ‘ho’, ‘dick’, ‘titties’, ‘shit’, ‘turd’, ‘pissed off’, ‘ass’ and ‘asshole’, in addition to frequent use of the term ‘n***a’.

Strong sex references include crude comic references to oral sex, sexual positions, genitals and ejaculation, as well as use of the term ‘f**k’ in the sexual sense.

During a sustained sequence of bad-taste humour, Wayans expresses incredulity that the wife of former professional basketball player Magic Johnson’s has not divorced him due to the fact that he has AIDS. Wayans then uses the phrase ‘double AIDS’ in reference to Johnson’s son being gay, and makes a joke about contracting AIDS via sex with monkeys. In other sequences, Wayans recalls crude insults used by his mother towards his father, including ‘faggot balls’.
There are occasional comic references to domestic abuse, such as when Wayans jokingly claims that he took revenge on his father for beating him ‘too much’ as a child by leaving him in soiled nappies in his old age. Sustained sequences of rude humour include descriptions of genitals and faeces as Wayans’ recalls changing his elderly parents’ nappies. There are infrequent comic references to misuse of drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine, without endorsement. Other issues include occasional upsetting references to death and grief, which are themes of the work.
