A man throws a woman off a roof, douses her with petrol and sets her on fire in a scene which includes the sound of her screams as she burns alive. A woman is stoned by villagers in a scene which includes close-up sight of rocks repeatedly striking her face. People are stabbed in scenes accompanied by blood spurts, and there are also scenes of strangulation. In one scene, a man is buried alive.

There is a prolonged sequence in which a woman is grabbed by the hair, beaten with a wooden pole and paraded through her village before being attacked and banished. There is emphasis on the woman's terror throughout this sequence.

There is mild and very mild bad language ('shit, 'bullshit', 'bloody', 'damn').

Strong sex references feature within the context of a woman's diagnosed nymphomania, and include strong verbal references as well as scenes of sexual activity which includes brief thrusting. In one scene, the woman becomes sexually aroused as a man's body rubs against her whilst they sit next to each other on a bus.

A woman's boss brings several men into his place of employment with the intention of forcing her to have sex with them. The woman resists, and the man accordingly uses this as a pretext to claim she was stealing from him beofre sacking her. A man becomes sexually aroused during a scene in which a woman is attacked. A man forcibly kisses a woman. A lecherous man objectifies a woman, and makes sexist comments about her appearance. A man makes brief sexual advances towards a young girl, placing a hand on her covered knee and shoulder; however, the scene is interrupted before any further sexual abuse takes place.

A woman self-harms and there is accompanying close-up sight of scars caused by previous self-harming. She also attempts to deal with the psychological and emotional pain of her nymphomania by subjecting herself to the physical pain of whipping. A man is shown whipping the woman's back, accompanied by sight of lash marks, and which is followed by a scene in which the woman collapses in tears.

A character takes their life by jumping from a height. There are verbal references to suicide, including false speculation that people hanged from a tree branch took their own lives.

There is brief sight of wound detail, as well as injury in the aftermath of violence.

Scenes of emotional upset include a funeral scene, grieving, and bereavement, as well as brief discovery of a corpse.

The film contains brief scenes of smoking and alcohol cunsumption.
