KILL THE REFEREE is a French thriller in which a football referee is hounded by disgruntled fans after a contentious decision during a match.

violence
A woman stabs a man through the hand with a screwdriver. Other violence includes the firing of guns, in one instance causing blood to spurt from a man’s arm, a man setting another on fire using an improvised molotov cocktail, and people striking one another, using their fists and improvised weapons.
language
There is use of strong language (‘f**k’), as well as the use of milder terms including ‘prick’, ‘bitch’, ‘shit’, ‘bastard’, ‘son of a bitch’, ‘bugger’ and ‘piss’.
sexual violence and sexual threat
A man grabs and tries to kiss a woman who struggles to push him away as he attempts to grope her, and he accuses her of leading him on. There are verbal references to sexual violence.
A couple are pursued by a violent gang who harass them and try to get into their apartment, using a blowtorch to burn through the door. Blood is seen on people’s faces and bodies in the aftermath of violence, and dead bodies are briefly seen lying in pools of blood, without strong gory injury detail. There are moderate verbal sex references, as well as scenes in which couples kiss and fondle one another. A man uses a racist term ('negro'), however the context is historical and the film as a whole does not condone discrimination.
