violence
Strong violence includes bloody shootings. An imaginary sequence shows a person slashing others with a cleaver, creating spurts of blood. A prisoner screams while being repeatedly whipped with a salted cane during a torture scene. Milder violence includes explosions and crunchy fist fights.
threat and horror
A naked prison inmate is subjected to an invasive and humiliating physical search, although there is no visible nudity. Moderate scenes include aggressive and intimidating behaviour, sometimes involving knives or guns, as well as scenes in which prisoners are seated in an electric chair to be executed.
language
Bad language includes ‘shit’ and ‘bloody’, in addition to use of the ‘middle finger’ gesture.
sex
Sex references are mild and infrequent.
drugs
Occasional verbal and visual references to drug misuse and drug dealing include brief sight of a bag of white powder. Misuse of drugs is clearly criticised.
suicide and self-harm
A man takes his own life in front of his young children during a short and visually discreet scene, later repeated in flashbacks. In another scene, a person prepares to cut their own arm in the hope of being granted an emergency visit with a prison inmate; however, other people quickly talk them out of harming themself.
injury detail
There is occasional bloody injury detail, some of which occurs in the context of violence.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
