Scenes of violence include a throat slashing, a gunshot resulting in a heavy blood spurt, and aftermath sight of a man whose eyes have been cut out. There is also a sequence in which a couple take a family hostage in their own home, perform a ritual involving magic mushrooms, and then initiate sex with the wife. During this scene, they pause to humiliate the husband by having the wife thrash his bare back. There is some ambiguity as to the woman's consent in participating, and a child is present for most of the sequence.
