violence
There are intense battlefield sequences in which planes drop bombs causing explosions and soldiers are shot resulting in small blood spurts. Moderate scenes of boxing violence feature crunchy, impactful blows and occasional bloody detail. References are made to the Munich Olympics terrorist massacre in 1972. A father berates his teenage son and slaps him a number of times.
threat and horror
In a scene of moderate threat, a man in a wheelchair hears gunfire and becomes aware of a terrorist attack taking place. Whilst attempting to flee, he plummets down a flight of stairs and is knocked unconscious. A distressed man awakens from a coma and grabs a man, holding him around the neck and refusing to let go.
language
Use of mild bad language ('bloody hell' and 'bugger') is accompanied by even milder terms such as 'damn'.
sex
A nurse holds up what is implied to be a pornographic magazine, with sight of a woman in her underwear on the cover, and scolds men for reading it, saying that the images could give one of her patients a 'heart attack'.
injury detail
There is mild injury detail in the aftermath of boxing matches, such as a swollen black eye and cuts to the face. Dead bodies lay on the ground after a battle scene.
suicide and self-harm
In a flashback, we see a man attempting to take his own life; however, he is interrupted by a friend before any serious injury is incurred.
theme
Upsetting scenes occur due to a man's life changing serious injuries and the impact it has on him and his family.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
