violence
People are slashed and stabbed with a blade in scenes of strong bloody violence. In one scene a woman slices a man's hand off using a large blade. In another scene a woman stabs a man after he rejects her advances, and there are images of blood landing on her exposed breasts. There are also scenes of domestic abuse when a teenager's aunt attempts to control him and prevent him from leaving for college. She poisons him and emotionally manipulates him. Later she strangles and stabs him.
sexual violence and sexual threat
There are references to child sexual abuse when a woman kisses and licks her younger relative. There are also scenes in which a woman falsely accuses a man of rape after she attempts to pressure him into sex.
additional issues
An unlikable detective displays homophobic behaviour frequently using the homophobic word 'fag' and referring to a man's 'limp wrist'. He describes a teenager as a 'butt boy' and a gay man as a 'deviant'; however the protagonist does not endorse this discriminatory attitude. The film features strong language ('f**k'). A scene of strong sex includes thrusting and sexual moaning. There are brief images of a severed head in a jar and skeletal human remains.
