THE WORK is a US documentary about a group therapy programme in Folsom Prison.

Language

There is frequent use of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker').

Men cry, shout, scream and struggle in some intense scenes of emotional distress but this takes place as part of supervised therapy. A participant implies that he has thought of taking his own life but he is strongly discouraged and supported by the group, with a positive outcome. There is a brief but graphic verbal reference to violence when a convict describes his crime - a stabbing. There is a reference to child physical abuse, with no strong detail. Drug references include mentions of heroin addiction and weed. In a moderate sex reference, a man talks of 'getting pussy'.
