THE PLEASURE GARDEN is a black and white silent film from 1925, the directorial debut of Alfred Hitchcock, in which a chorus line girl's marriage appears doomed when her new husband leaves for a job in the Far East.

Violence

A man drowns a woman he has been having an affair with, although the act is discreetly presented. The man attempts to kill his wife with a sword but is shot before harming her. A small dark blood stain appears on the man's shirt, but there is no further detail.
