NOWHERE BOY is a drama, based on fact, and which concerns the formative late teen years of John Lennon.

Language

There are multiple uses of strong language ('f**k'), as well as some milder terms (for example, ‘spunk’, ‘cock’, ‘‘bugger’, balls’, ‘bastard’, ‘git’, ‘crap’, ‘shit’, ‘bollocks’, ‘twunt’, ‘whore’).

Sex

In one scene, a young man digitally penetrates a young woman, before she performs oral sex. However, there is limited detail. There are also some moderate sex references, including references to pornography.

There is also brief violence in a scene in which a young man is threatened with a knife, as well as frequent scenes in which adults and teenagers smoke cigarettes, and which reflect the era in which the work is set.
