Note: The following text may contain spoilers

NIGHT MONSTER is mystery thriller, from 1942, in which a wealthy recluse invites to his mansion the doctors whose treatment left him crippled.

Threat

People are threatened by a mysterious figure who is never seen, but whose presence is suggested by shadows on walls, screams in the night and frightened expressions. These scenes of threat are neither sustained nor unduly intense.

Violence

Various murders occur offscreen with only partial sight of bodies in the aftermath. There are cuts on the hands of the victims and small amounts of blood on the floor beside them. In one scene, a man is attacked but his assailant is shot, without detail, by someone else.
