LE SKYLAB is a French drama in which a teenage girl and her parents join the rest of their family for a summer party in the country.

There are some strong verbal sex references, including to anal sex. Some of the child characters express curiosity about sex by mimicking sexual acts with their dolls. However, they do not mimic any sexual activity themselves and simply laugh at the adult acts they have been copying.

LE SKYLAB also features some natural full frontal male and female nudity, including during a scene set on a nudist beach.

There are a number of uses of strong language ('f**k'), the majority of which occur in the lyrics of a song that is played both during a disco scene and over the film's end credits. There is also some milder bad language (including uses of 'shit', 'bastard', 'bitch', 'dick' and 'crap'), as well as some discriminatory language (including uses of 'nigger' and 'rag head'), although the use of such language is immediately criticised.

One character makes a brief attempt to take his own life by pulling a hose around his neck. However, he falls to the ground and comes to no harm. The character is portrayed as suffering from mental decline and the event is quickly forgotten by him as he's distracted by happier things.
