KING JACK is a coming-of-age drama about a teenager who spends a weekend trying to avoid a gang of older bullies whilst also looking after his younger cousin.

Language

There are two uses of very strong language ('c**t'), one in graffiti painted on a wall, and one said later to the character who painted it as part of him being punished for this. There are also frequent uses of strong language ('f**k') throughout the film, and milder terms including 'asshole' and 'shit'.

Violence

Strong violence includes a sustained attack where a teenager is repeatedly kicked until he passes out. In another fight, there is sight of someone being kicked in the face.

Further issues include some sexual content, with the implication that a teenager is masturbating in the shower, and a group of teenagers flashing their breasts and genitals at each other as part of a 'truth or dare' game. None of this is shown in detail, just suggested as we see only their faces. One of the themes of the film is bullying, and we see a young teenager being forced to hold a lighted firework in his hand, and later the same boy is tied to a chair while bullies fire paintgun pellets at his bare chest. There are also scenes of teenagers drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.
