THE KID is a drama based on a true story about a man who turns his life around after growing up in an abusive home environment.

Language

There is frequent use of strong language ('f**k'). In one scene, there is a jumble of words scrawled on a wall including sight of very strong language ('c**t').

Violence

Strong violence occurs in sequences depicting bare-knuckle fighting.

Theme

There are scenes of domestic abuse in which a couple fight, and sequences of child abuse in which a boy is beaten by his mother.

There are occasional scenes of alcohol and prescription drug misuse.

Moderate sex also features in some scenes.
