BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP is a British mystery thriller in which a woman experiences catastrophic short term memory loss after suffering serious head injuries.

Violence

There are portrayals of a woman being slapped or punched by an abusive man and, in one scene, it is implied that she is beaten with a champagne bottle. Another scene includes a man being stabbed in the arm with a shard of glass before being struck across the head with an electric iron. Although not very detailed, these scenes are bloody and tonally strong.

Language

There are four uses of strong language ('f**k'). Milder bad language includes 'bastard', 'god', 'prick' and 'shit'.

There are also infrequent moderate sex references and reference to violence. In one scene a woman is informed that a medical examination some years earlier showed evidence of recent sexual intercourse and she asks if she was raped.
