GRAN TORINO is a drama about a Korean War veteran embittered by experience and resentful of the modern-day America in which he now lives.

Language

There is frequent use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), as well occasional use of racial and derogatory terms used by the protagonist, although his views are challenged over the course of the narrative.

There are infrequent scenes of strong violence, including a man being beaten up, a shooting, and the suggestion that a female character has been raped.
