EVERLY is an action drama in which a woman fights off waves of assassins who have been sent by her ex-husband to kill her.

Violence

There are several sequences of strong and often very bloody violence, with multiple people killed with guns, knives and other weapons. There are close-ups on injuries and puddles of blood. There are scenes of torture, including a character being prodded with a cattle prod and burned with acid while in a cage. Another character is tied to a chair and forced to drink poison. Although no sexual violence is shown on screen, it is heard and strongly implied in quite a lengthy sequence.

The film also contains frequent strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'). Some erotic oriental paintings are seen on the walls of the main character's apartment, but there is no explicit sexual detail. The film also contains rear nudity of both male and female characters.
