BIG BAD WOLVES is an Israeli black comedy-horror-thriller, in the Hebrew language, in which a police detective and the father of a murdered girl decide to take the law into their own hands after a suspected serial killer is released back into the community.

Violence

The strong violence is often torture-related. Although most of the torture is only briefly portrayed or takes place off screen, there is nevertheless a clear dwelling on the infliction of pain and injury which includes a character's toenail being ripped off with a pair of pliers and his chest being burned with a blow torch. In another scene, an attempt is made to remove a character's head with a handsaw while he is still alive and conscious. There are large spurts of blood.

There are undetailed references to the sexual abuse which child victims were subjected to before being murdered.

Moderate and mild bad language includes the terms 'ass', 'balls', 'bastard', 'prick', 'screwed' and 'son of a bitch'.
