Primary school lesson plans with teacher guidance

We are passionate about engaging with younger children at an age where they are starting to choose their own viewing independently, especially at home.

Alongside the Skype education sessions and school visits we already offer, we've now launched our first primary school lesson plans. Aimed at Key Stage 2 learners (Years 5/6), and accredited by the PSHE Association, they help pupils develop the tools to make the best choices about what to watch, when and where - and are accompanied by comprehensive teacher guidance notes and supporting activity resources.

Primary school poster

We have also created a poster for primary schools, available on the CBBFC website. The small sized poster for classrooms and film clubs works as a leaflet explaining the five film categories U, PG, 12A, 15 and 18. It uses illustrations by children showing the audience for films at different categories and contains information about BBFCinsight and how we work with parents and young people. If you fold it out it works as a small frieze illustrating the categories and explaining our work.
To order our free primary poster visit CBBFC here.
